Obituary for Margaret S. Fulgenzi

Margaret S. Fulgenzi, 91 of Palm City, Florida passed away on December 15, 2019 at Serenity Senior Care, Port St. Lucie.

Margaret was born in New York City to Charles and Jennie Sanfilippo and grew up in Flushing, N.Y.  She lived with her late husband Joe Fulgenzi in the The Meadows, Palm City for the past 20 years, after coming from New Hyde Park, Long Island New York, where they lived for over 25 years.

Margaret graduated from Flushing High School, The Washington School for Secretaries, and studied at Queens college. She worked as an administrative assistant in the Port Washington Public School District for over 25 years. Margaret and Joe enjoyed over 50 years of marriage.  They were both active members of the Cellini Lodge #2206 in New Hyde Park.  Margaret held the office of Secretary for the Ladies Auxiliary, where she led many community and charity events, including in more recent years the OSIA Florida Reunion events.

Margaret devoted her life to her family and friends, while making time for traveling to Italy, trips to casinos (especially the slots), and shopping malls. Margaret enjoyed cooking and baking traditional Italian recipes, especially sharing her homemade cookies for the holidays.

Survivors include son Joseph Fulgenzi Jr. of New Hyde Park, NY and wife Milena, daughters Celeste Mauro of New Hyde Park and her husband Anthony, and Jennifer Flynn of West Nyack, NY and her husband Kirk, grandchildren Melissa (husband Enrique Frischeisen), Erica, Sabrina, Joseph, Charles and Genevieve, and great-grandchild Madison. Cherished cousin and aunt to her nieces.

Visitation will be from 4:00PM to 8:00PM at the Forest Hills Palm City Chapel on Wednesday, December 18, 2019. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Thursday, December 19, 2019 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Palm City. Entombment will follow in the Forest Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum, Palm City.
