Obituary of Margaret George
Margaret Kelly George, 93, of Stuart, FL, died March 20, 2010 at Emeritus of Jensen Beach, FL.
Born in Yonkers, NY, she lived in Stuart for 28 years coming from Lake Carmel, NY.
She graduated from Sacred Heart High School, Yonkers.
She worked most of early life in the electronics industry until moving to Lake Carmel, NY, where she worked as a secretary at Lovely Hills Nursing Home in Pawling, NY. She also was a tutor.
She was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Palm City, FL and the St. Lucie Falls Bocce League.
Survivors include her husband of 74 years, William M. George of Stuart, a son William M. George, Jr. of Tequesta, FL; a daughter, Margaret G. Nebinger and her husband Edward of Fort Pierce, FL, and New Fairfield, CT; 3 grandchildren, John J. Purdy and his wife Janine of Elmira, NY, Mary Anne Elmore and her husband Eric of Alexandria, VA and William G. Purdy and his wife Mary of Bethlehem, PA and a great granddaughter Catherine Kelly Purdy.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Forest Hills Funeral Homes Palm City Chapel.
