Obituary of Marguerite Putnam
MARGUERITE B. PUTNAM
Age 88, of Palm City, Florida, died on December 15, 2007 at her residence. Mrs. Putnam was born on September 21, 1919 in New York City to Herbert W. and Marguerite Louise (Small) Ballantine. She came to this are in 2004, originally from Bronxville, NY. Mrs. Putnam was a member of the D.A.R. and the Colonial Dames of America. She was also a member of the Harbour Ridge Yacht & Country Club.
Survivors include her husband Haven Putnam of Palm City, FL, a daughter Marguerite Ballantine of Holland, seven sons; William Holmes of La Canada, CA; Peter Holmes of Nantucket, MA; Jay Holmes of Dallas, TX; Haven Putnam, Jr. of San Diego, CA; Rodney Putnam of Carpenteria, CA; David Putnam of Smyrna, GA and Stuart Putnam of Jupiter, FL. Also surviving is a brother, Herbert Ballantine of Brewster, NY.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, December 19, 2007 at Forest Hills Funeral Home, 2001 SW Murphy Road, Palm City, FL. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park. A visitation was held on Tuesday, December 18, 2007 from 4:00 until 6:00 PM at the Funeral Home.
