Marianne H Hickey

Marianne passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at Waters Edge Extended Care in Palm City, FL, she was 80 years old.  She moved to Palm City in 1987 and since 2015 had lived in the Sandhill Cove Retirement Living Community.

Marianne was born September 1, 1939 in Dobbs Ferry, NY, one of 3 children born to John W. Hanifin and B. Cecelia Reynolds. She attended primary school in Hastings, NY and graduated from Elizabeth Seton Academy, Yonkers NY, in 1958.  Marianne went on to graduate from Marywood College in Scranton, PA, Class of 1962.  She had a successful professional career working with Lipton and Stouffer Foods Corporation. Marianne married John J Hickey in the Fall of 1980, in Bronxville NY.  Together, they lived in Greenwich CT before relocating to Palm City, FL.

Marianne was an avid world traveler and spent many memorable summers in Bayhead, NJ.  She loved the Jersey Shore!  Marianne also loved playing golf, tennis and bridge.  During her retirement years, she dedicated herself to volunteer work with a number of organizations, including the American Red Cross and most recently with the Martin Memorial Auxiliary.

Marianne was predeceased by her husband John J Hickey and her sister Susan H. Clark.  She is survived by her brother John W Hanifin Jr. of Suffern, NY and her brother-in -law Paul Clark of Rockville, MD., as well as 7 nieces & nephews and 14 grand nieces & nephews.

A funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday December 9 ^th at the Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Palm City, FL.  A burial service will follow at nearby Forest Hills Memorial Park.
