Obituary of Marie Sherley

Marie L. Sherley, 74, died peacefully at Lawnwood Regional Hospital on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 in Fort Pierce, Florida

She was born in Wilkinsburg, Pennsylvania on June 18. 1943 to Regis P. and Alice M. Larouere, and lived with her sister Betty Ann Suder (Jack deceased) in Port Saint Lucie, Florida.  There are also six brothers:  Regis Wm. (Shirley) of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Thomas (Judy) of Wentzville, Missouri; Robert of Zephyrhills, Florida; Joseph (Beverly) of Ocala, Florida; James of Clayton Georgia; and John of Melbourne, Florida.

Marie was a devoted mother, Grandma "Re",  aunt and sister.  Her passion in life was as a caregiver and she continued to be a "Visiting Angel" to many until her passing.  She never intended to retire from helping others!

Marie is survived by her children and grandchildren:

  • Jim and Elaine Little (Michelle and Heather) of Newark, Delaware
  • Connie Little of Presto, Pennsylvania
  • Robert Allen and Kit Little (Gabriel and Ariyana) of Barre, Vermont
  • Joe and Michiko Yamori-Little (Tyler and Haru) of San Carlos, California
  • Barbara and Dennis Harsh (Franklin) of Gainesville, Florida

Marie also was loved by multiple nieces and nephews, extended family, and many wonderful friends.

Marie is preceded in death by her loving parents, her former husband, James A. Little and her brother Joseph "Buddy".

A private family memorial service and final inurnment will be held at Forest Hills Memorial Park in Palm City Florida Friday, January 12, 2018 in the Butterfly Garden near her parents resting place.
