It is with great sorrow that the family announces that Marilyn Marie (Kurtz) Marshiano , 75, of Port St Lucie, Florida passed away on December 30, 2021. Marilyn was born October 24, 1946 in Bronx, NY to the late Gilbert and Margaret Kurtz. F ollowing he r gra duation from St Helena's High School 64 ', Marilyn worked for Sinclair Oil and General Electric in Manhattan, NY . After marrying May 27, 1967, she lived in Massapequa Park , New York where she and Gene raised their four children until 1993 when they moved to Port St. Lucie to enjoy the beautiful Florida sunshine and beaches. Marilyn was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, and f riend . She was active in her church and community. She had a love for children and later worked with special needs children at BOCES in New York and subsequently at Floresta Elementary in St . Lucie County Schools , Florida until she retired in 200 5 . Marilyn had a zest for life, an amazing sense of humor, eyes that showed her genuine love, and a smile that would light up a room. She was a sincere, generous, kind, and faith filled wom a n who loved her family beyond measure. She enjoyed dancing, exercising, the beach , and walking her sweet dog Bella around the neighborhood.
She was loved immensely and will be greatly missed by many.
Marilyn is survived by her beloved husband Gene , her loving daughter Jeannine and her husband Terence O'Leary of Port St Lucie , FL , her loving son Joseph and his wife Christine Marshiano of New Hyde Park, NY, her loving son James Marshiano of Annapolis, MD , and her loving daughter Jacqueline and her husband Michael Noe of Green Cove Springs, FL . She is also survived by ten cherished grandchildren, Jarrett, Justin, and Julia O'Leary, Jenna, Christopher, and Alyssa Marshiano , Matthew Marshiano , Emily, Kelsey, and Brynn Noe.
Friends and family are welcome to visit at Forest Hills Funeral Home Murphy Road Palm City, FL on Thursday, January 6, 2022 from 3-5 PM including a prayer service at 4:30pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00am on Friday, January 7, 2022 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church 1454 SW M app Road Palm City, FL 34990. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park Palm City, FL. Memorial donations may be made to Marilyn's American Stoke Associations Tribute page initiated by her grandson, Justin O'Leary on behalf of all the grandchildren.
