Marilyn Mary
Jordahl
d. Dec 17, 2025
In Loving Memory of Marilyn Jordahl.
Marilyn Mary Jordahl passed away quietly on December 17, 2025 in Palm City Fl, after a life lived with great enthusiasm, sharp wit and humor that was at times dry enough to require a beverage.
Born Marilyn Mary Howard in Britain,1951, she brought to South Florida in the early 1980’s, her unforgettable British accent, sense of humor and gift for cutting through nonsense and making people feel seen. She was an accomplished legal secretary for many years in Miami. She had the uncanny ability to become the life of the party no matter where she went. Marilyn brought energy, laughter and a spark that made people gravitate toward her. She made friends easily, made memories constantly and made every space feel lighter just by being in it. Marilyn was a cat lover and an avid, tournament winning fisherwoman at Big Pine Key Fishing Lodge.
Marilyn stepped, literally, into motherhood with both feet, her signature directness and characteristic humor. She was the glue that held husband David's daughter's and grandchildren together. She loved them all fully, challenged them when needed, supported them always, and made sure they knew exactly where they stood.
Marilyn is survived by stepdaughters Meredith Leigh (Ernie), Jessica Ann (Nick); grandchildren who adored her Sophia Isabella and Stephanie Alexis Clavero; sister‑in‑law Claire and brother‑in‑law John (Lori); brother Tony and nephew Mark (Amy) Howard.
Sadly, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband David, and stepdaughters Kristin Marie and Lauren Elizabeth.
Marilyn was a true character, memorable for her British flair, laughter and love.
