Obituary of Marjory Nehls
Marjory Smith Nehls, 81, of Palm City, Florida, died, July 28, 2009 at the Palm City Nursing and Restorative Carte Center, Palm City.
Born in Kearny, New Jersey, she lived in Palm City for 16 years coming from her birthplace.
She attended Skidmore College in New York and Upsala College, in New Jersey receiving her degree in teaching from Newark State College, Newark, New Jersey. She was cheerleader captain in both high school and college. She was a lead dancer with The Footlites, a competition dance team, when they won The World Championship in Germany.
She was a teacher in the Kearny New Jersey School System where she was awarded lifetime membership in the PTA.
Survivors include her husband of 63 years, William F. Nehls of Palm City; daughters Laurie Sherwen of Haddon Heights, New Jersey and Nancy Clelland of Lynchburg, Virginia; sons, William F. Nehls IV of Watchung, New Jersey and David S, Nehls of Oakland, New Jersey and 3 grandchildren, David, Savannah and Scarlett.
She was preceded in death by her brother, David Smith.
SERVICES: Services will be private. Inurnment will be in Forest Hill Memorial Park, Palm City.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Forest Hills Funeral Homes Palm City Chapel.
