IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Marsha Jean
Ainslie
March 23, 1955 – December 20, 2025
Marsha Jean Ainslie, 70, passed away peacefully on December 20, 2025, after a quick but fierce battle with cancer. She was predeceased in 2024 by the love of her life, Carl Litchfield, with whom she shared 43 years of unwavering love, laughter, and partnership.
Above all else, Marsha was an extraordinary mother and grandmother. She created a life filled with joy, adventure, and unconditional love, always finding new ways to make her family feel cherished. Whether through spontaneous outings, imaginative adventures, or the simple moments she transformed into treasured memories, Marsha had a gift for turning ordinary days into something magical. She leaves behind her daughter, Tina Stoner, and Tina's husband, Raheem; Carl's son, Carl Litchfield, and his wife, Khadidja; and her beloved grandchildren—Abel, Jacob, Sean, Brooke, Ryan, Adam, and Zakary.
Marsha was one of twelve children and is survived by seven of her siblings. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, whom she supported, celebrated, and loved deeply. She was the kind of aunt who always showed up.
Marsha proudly served in the United States Army, a chapter that shaped her strength and resilience. After her service, she devoted her career to early childhood education. She touched countless young lives, teaching and also nurturing imagination and curiosity—her greatest joy as a teacher.
Though she spent many years in New Hampshire, Marsha found her true bliss with Carl in retirement in Port St. Lucie, Florida. She loved sunrise walks on the beach, swimming in the ocean, kayaking, and exploring nature. After Carl's passing, she found comfort and companionship in adventures shared with her sister, Peggy. She also cherished her close friendships with Helen "Bobbi" Stoner and a remarkable circle of women who supported one another through the hard times and celebrated the best times together.
Marsha lived a life full of love, humor, generosity, and adventure. Her legacy continues in the many people she touched. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Marsha's name to Treasure Coast Hospice .
