Obituary of Martha Bombuskar

Martha "Baba" Bombuskar, 102, of Palm City, FL, passed away on Sunday, September 27, 2015 at the Treasure Coast Hospice, Hay-Madeira House, Stuart, FL.

Born in Kiblary, Czechoslovakia, she had been a resident of Palm City for 22 years coming from Throggs Neck, NY.

Prior to retiring she had been a seamstress with Bonat Bedspread Co. in New York for 21 years, specializing in drapes and bedspreads.

She was a member of Saints Cyril and Methodius Byzantine Catholic Church, Fort Pierce, FL and was a former member of St. Mary's Greek Catholic Church, New York City. She was a member of the "Pieroghi Army" both in Florida and New York City. She enjoyed gardening and needlework.

Survivors include her daughter Mary Nelson of Palm City; grandsons, Bran Dee Nelson and his wife Natasha of Golden Beach, Queensland, Australia; Charlie Bob Nelson and his wife Cassie of Eumundi, Queensland, Australia and Billy Joe Nelson and his wife Kristine of Palm City, FL and great grandchildren, Christian, Jasmine, Liam, Gemma, Mazzy, Jesse and Destry Nelson. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Charles Bombuskar in 1990; her son-in-law, Robert J. Nelson in 1996 and five siblings.

Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at the Forest Hills Funeral Home, Palm City. An Office of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Thursday, October 1, 2015 at Saints Cyril and Methodius Byzantine Catholic Church. Interment will be in St. Michael's Cemetery in South Hackensack, Township, NJ.
