Obituary of Mary Cassio
Mary "Aileen" Cassio, 89, of Stuart, died February 13, 2009 at Treasure Coast Hospice in Stuart. She was born in Pittsburgh, PA and had been a resident of Stuart since 2003, having moved here from Tamarac. She had been a Loan Department Assistant in the banking industry before retirement. She was a member of St. Malachy's Catholic Church in Tamarac, and a former member of the Women's Guild.
She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Jospeph V. Cassio Sr. of Stuart; daughter, Linda Taylor of Palm City; sons, Bill Shawfield of Okeechobee and Joseph V. Cassio Jr. of Ft. Lauderdale; eight grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death in 1969 by her first husband, J.W. Shawfield and three sisters.
Visitation will be 12:00PM - 2:00PM, Tuesday at Forest Hills Funeral Homes, Palm City Chapel.
A funeral service will follow immediately at 2:00PM in the chapel.
Memorial contributions may be made to Treasure Coast Hospice, 1201 SE Indian Street, Stuart, FL 34994, in Aileen's memory.
