Mary C. Eliassen, 71, of Palm City, passed away November 21, 2016 at Martin Medical Center in Stuart.
Born in Kilkee, Ireland to Michael and Nora Russell, she immigrated to the United States at the age of 13 where she lived with her cousins in Long Island. She was married to her love, Victor Eliassen for 49 years.
Mary loved to celebrate life and travel the world, but her favorite was visiting Ireland to see her family. To Mary, family was the most important thing in this world and she always did the utmost to keep them happy and safe.
After retirement, she had been a resident of Palm City where she participated in social activities such as playing Mahjongg, attending events at the Elk's Lodge, going to church, and taking cruises with her friends.
She is survived by her husband, Victor Eliassen of Palm City; son, Greg Eliassen and his wife, Jackie, and granddaughter, Kate of Lone Tree, CO.
Visitation: 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM, Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at Forest Hills Funeral Home, Palm City, with a prayer service at 4:00 PM.
Mass of Christian Burial: 10:00 AM, Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Palm City. Interment will follow in South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth.
