Mary ( Vieira ) Joaquim , age 90 of Ft . Pierce , Fl passed away on November 22 , 2022 , at her home surrounded by her family .

Mary was born to Joaquim Vieira and Sarah ( Lopes ) Vieira on May 20 , 1932 in Dartmouth , Massachusetts . She has been a resident of Ft . Pierce for over 30 years , coming from Somers , Connecticut . Prior to her retirement , Mary worked 30 years as a secretary to commission of health for the state of Connecticut and retired to Florida . She was a long - time member of the Portuguese American Club and she loved to play bingo . Mary had a radiant and infectious smile that would light up the room . She was a sincere and caring woman . She was most passionate about her family as they were the center of her world .

Mary is survived by her daughter Judy Mauro and her Husband Dale , of Ft . Pierce ; son Richard Joaquim of Bricktown , NJ ; 7 grandchildren Nicole Ashley and her husband Josh , Jimmy Ashley , Brian Mauro , Chris Joaquim and his wife Jamie , Sean Joaquim and his wife Candace , Ryan Joaquim , Patrick Joaquim and Hollie Joaquim and her husband Kyle , 6 great grandchildren Jordyn Ashley , Jase Ashley , Cameron Joaquim , Jack Joaquim , Leo Joaquim , and Lila Joaquim .

Mary was preceded in death by her husband Walter Joaquim , her son Michael Joaquim , her grandson Jeffery Mauro , her sister Emily ( Vieira ) Joaquim and sister Julia ( Vieira ) Bathrick .

Visitation will be at Forest Hills Cemetery Thursday Dec 1 , 2022 , at 10:00 am Prayer service at 11:00 followed by grave side service .
