Mary Jane Price Lewis died suddenly at her home on January 4, 2018.  She was born on June 8, 1920 to the late Charles Breckenridge Price and Mary Jane King Price in Leaksville (now Eden) NC.

She and her late sister-in-Law, Cecile Price joined the North Carolina National Guard Auxiliary and when the war came along, she naturally joined the Women's Army Corps, serving more than three years.

Jane met her husband, Vencil, while both were working in Washington, DC and their marriage has lasted almost sixty-four years.

Jane was an avid golfer before she lost her eyesight to macular degeneration almost twenty years ago.  She also loved to travel and she and Vencil had visited all of the states and many countries around the world via cruising.

Jane came from a large family and had previously lost all of her six brothers and one sister.  She will be greatly missed by her loving Husband and many loving nieces, nephews and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at Forest Hills Funeral Home Palm City Chapel with entombment following the service in Forest Hills Memorial Park.
