Obituary of Mary Link
Mary Elizabeth Link (known as Betty), 93, of Palm City, FL, passed away peacefully at her home with family on Saturday, May 17, 2014. Born in Dallas, Texas, she also lived for some time in Washington, D.C. before retiring here to Palm City with her husband Steve Link more than 30 years ago.
Betty graduated from the University of Denver, and worked in management for the United States Department of Agriculture in the Rural Electrification Program for over 30 years. Betty was a founding member of the Episcopal Church of the Advent, Palm City, and one of the original members of the Evergreen Country Club. She was an avid golfer and had been the club champion at Evergreen.
She was preceded in death by her husband Steve Link many years ago. Survivors include nephews Steve and David Rhodes, Greg and Riki Link, Pat and Mike Link, and Dan and Gary Bunch and nieces Jan Steen, Allie Plum, Diane Williams, Barbara Bunch, and Renee Dodson, as well as numerous cousins and great nieces and nephews. SERVICES: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 27, 2014, at the Episcopal Church of the Advent. Entombment will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Palm City, Florida.
