Obituary of Mary Mchale

Mavie McHale died in Stuart, Florida on April 30, 2008. She was born on July 26, 1957 in Detroit, Michigan to longtime baseball executive John J. and Patricia Cameron McHale. She was educated at the Rosarian Academy in West Palm Beach, FL and graduated from the University of South Florida in Tampa with a degree in Social and Behavioral Sciences. She also attended Stonehill College in Massachusetts and had her Paralegal certification from the American Bar Association. She worked for the Hyatt Hotel Corporation for thirteen years in sales, with assignments in West Palm Beach, Los Angeles, Savannah, Tampa and finally the Hyatt Regency Miami as the Director of Sales. She worked until her death for the greater Miami Convention and Visitors Bureau as the Vice President, Sales, where she was much loved and will greatly missed. She oversaw a staff of ten Sales Managers that included and office in Washington, D.C.

She was pre-deceased by her mother Patricia Cameron (2001) and her father John Joseph (2008) to who she was devoted and cared for until their deaths. She is survived by her loving sisters and brothers, Patricia Cameron Glaws (Peter), John Jr. (Sally), Kevin, Ann McLeod (J. Douglas) and Brian (Susana). She will be greatly missed by her 15 nieces and nephews whom she insisted on spoiling constantly, as well as her many friends throughout the country.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 9, 2008 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 1454 SW Mapp Road, Palm City, FL 34990. Inurnment will take place at Forest Hills Memorial Park. The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorials be made to Treasure Coast Hospice, 1201 SE Indian Street, Stuart, FL 34997 or to Holy Redeemer Catholic Church.
