Obituary

On April 21, 2025, Mary Beth McNulty was called home to be with the Lord — on the same sacred day as the passing of our Holy Father, a poignant reminder of the faith that guided her life.

Born on September 3, 1952, in Janesville, Wisconsin, Mary's life was centered on faith, family, and kindness. A devoted Catholic and long-time member of St. Andrew Catholic Church in Stuart, Florida, she lived a life full of compassion and service, always striving to connect with and uplift others.

Mary had a successful career in banking and finance, earning her bachelor's degree from Palm Beach Atlantic University. A dedicated professional, she worked diligently to support her family. Later in life, she found a deep passion for gardening, pursuing a new career as a Master Gardener through the University of Florida program. She cultivated beauty wherever she went, and her garden became a sanctuary, a place where she felt God's presence in every bloom and forged lasting friendships with fellow gardeners.

During this time, Mary met Kenneth McNulty while working at Ramey Rug, and they married in 1989, building a life together founded on love, faith, and family. Their greatest blessing was their son, Mark, who became the center of Mary's world. The love they shared and the family they created remained a constant source of pride and joy for her.

Mary was known for her warmth and generosity, especially during family gatherings like Thanksgiving, when her home would be filled with the comforting aroma of homemade dishes and the sound of laughter. She cherished the family vacations they took, particularly in the mountains of North Carolina, where she loved hiking in the autumn air, surrounded by the vibrant colors of changing leaves.

Her greatest joy was her family. She was a devoted mother to Mark McNulty and a loving grandmother to Lily McNulty, both of Stuart, Florida. Baking, cooking, and creating memories with Lily were some of the happiest moments in her later years.

Faith was a guiding force in Mary's life, leading her to moments of deep reflection and connection. One such experience was a pilgrimage to Spain and Italy, where she shared in the profound unity of faith during World Youth Day, an experience that stayed with her always.

Mary is survived by her son, Mark McNulty, and her granddaughter, Lily McNulty, along with dear friends and loved ones whose lives she touched.

Her spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew her. Reunited now with loved ones who went before her, her light continues to shine through Mark and Lily, who carry her essence forward with each passing day.

A Funeral Mass celebrating Mary's life will be held on May 9th at 11:00 AM at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Stuart, Florida, followed by a graveside blessing at Forest Hills Memorial Park in Palm City.

Mary McNulty's life was one filled with love, laughter, beauty, and faith. Her legacy of kindness, devotion, and joy will remain in the hearts of all who were touched by her.
