Obituary of Mathew Chenier
Mathew J.J. Chenier, 77, of Palm City, Florida, died September 17, 2010 at his home.
Born in Cornwall, Ontario, Canada, he was a resident of Stuart and Palm City, Florida for over 33 years coming from Montreal.
During the Korean War, he served in the US Navy.
Before retiring he was an owner/operator of a Monterey Goodyear in Stuart for 25 years.
He was a member of the Stuart Council of the Knights of Columbus and the Stuart-Jensen Lodge #1870 of the B.P.O. Elks. He attended Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Palm City.
Survivors include of a son, Michael J. Chenier and his companion Steve of Palm City; a daughter, Carol C. Traversa of Annandale, Virginia and 3 grandchildren, Gregory, Lauren and Matthew.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rollande Chenier.
SERVICES: There will be a memorial gathering from 10:00 to11:00 AM and service at 11:00 AM on September 21, 2010 at Forest Hills Funeral Homes - Palm City Chapel.
