Obituary of Melvin Cannon
Melvin E. Cannon, 85, of Palm City, FL, passed at Martin Medical Center, Stuart on September 17, 2013.
Born in Manes, Missouri, he was a resident of Palm City for 31 years coming from, West Long Branch, New Jersey.
At the end of World War II he served in the US Army in the occupation of Japan.
Prior to retirement he had an electronics engineer working as a civilian employee of the U.S. Army. After coming to Florida he had also pursued a real estate career.
Survivors include a daughter, Debbie Tomes of Jupiter, Florida; sisters, Ruth Miller of Springfield, Missouri and Jane Glitch of Woodward, Missouri and two grandchildren, Alex and Emma. He was preceded in death by his wife Josephine Cannon in June, 2013 and a brother, Carl Cannon.
There will be a memorial service at a later date.
