Melvin D. "Mel" Conwell of Palm City, passed away June 14, 2016. He was born in Tarentum, PA on June 30 1933 to Harry and Ida Conwell. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He retired from the Ford Motor Co. in Walton Hills, OH. Mel relocated to Palm City from Rootstown, Ohio in 1985.
He is survived by his wife, Lorraine Adams Conwell; 2 children, Renee Simpson and husband, Joe Simpson, Dale Conwell and wife, Anne Conwell; 5 grandchildren, Dustin Stefansic of New York, Corey Stefansic (Deceased), Andrew Conwell and Evan Conwell of Dallas, Texas and Brandon Simpson of Palm City, FL and Mr. Ted his Jack Russell. He was predeceased by 9 siblings.
Donation to be made to the Humane Society of the Treasure Coast or to the Salvation Army.
Visitation: 1:00 - 2:00 PM, Friday, June 17, 2016 at Forest Hills Funeral Home, Palm City Chapel.
Funeral Service will follow immediately after at 2:00PM in the chapel.
Burial will take place in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Palm City.
