Obituary of Melvin Marken

Melvin G. Marken, 76 of Stuart, FL, passed away on Sunday, December 15, 2013 at Martin Hospital South, Stuart.

Born in Port Clinton, Ohio, he had been a resident of Stuart for 31 years coming from Miami, Florida.

Prior to retiring he was a draftsman in the engineering department at Florida Power and Light for 36 years.

He was a member of First Baptist Church of Stuart for 30 years and the Radio Control Flying Club.

Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Linda S. Marken of Stuart; sons, Glenn G. Marken of Danville, PA and Matthew Marken and his wife Yvonne Jones Marken of Palm City; daughters, Victoria Jean Love and Debra Anne Bockting both of Miami, FL; step daughter, Cynthia Lynn Hinton and her husband Joseph Hinton of Dallas, TX; grandchildren, Michael Glenn Marken, U.S. Army, Eddie "Chip" Love, Joshua Love and Luke Love all of Miami, Kristi Pope and her Husband Casey Pope of Fort Mills, SC, Melanie Carraro and Brandon Joseph Hinton both of Kansas City, KS, Lindsay Nicole Wood and her husband Evan Wood of Hutchinson, KS and great-grandchildren, Eddie Aaliyah Love, Elijah Love, Luke Love Jr., Rion Love, Aarion Love, Charli Camdyn Pope and Berkley Reese Pope. He was preceded in death by his sister Deanne Marken.

SERVICES: There will be a memorial service at 12:30 PM on Saturday, December 21, 2013 at the First Baptist Church of Stuart, 201 SW Ocean Blvd., Stuart, FL with Pastor Darrell P. Orman officiating.
