Obituary of Melvin Pearce

Melvin T. Pearce, 64, of Palm City, FL and Bumpass, VA, died Wednesday November 21, 2007 at his home in Palm City.

Born December 19, 1942 in Fremont, NC to Raymond C. and Jessie E. Pearce, he moved to Palm City in 1996 from Montpelier, VA.

He was a retired farmer.

Immediate family includes his wife, Roberta; five children, Mary Jenkins (Keith) of White Stone, VA; William Weston (Myra) of Mechanicsville, VA; Theresa Goodman of Ashland, VA; Thomas Pearce of Port St. Lucie, FL; Raymond Pearce (Diane) of Montpelier, VA: five grandchildren, William J. Goodman, Steven L. Goodman, Kristen I. Weston, Rachel E. Pearce and Amber Bonura.

Sibling survivors include Helen Hamilton (George) of Virginia; Harvey Pearce (Mae) of North Carolina; Julie Gammon (Eldridge) of Virginia and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond C. and Jessie E. Pearce and two sisters, Barbara Morris and Carol Gilliam.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Treasure Coast Hospices, Inc., 1201 S. E. Indian St., Stuart, FL 34997.

Graveside services will be 11 AM, Monday, November 26, 2007 at Forest Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors at the home following services until 6 PM.
