Obituary of Melvin Peregoy
Melvin George Peregoy, 94, of Port St. Lucie, Florida, died, June 21, 2009 at Palm Gardens of Port St. Lucie.
Born in Alexandria, Virginia, he had lived in Port St. Lucie for over 25 years coming from Alexandria.
During World War II he served in the U.S. Army in Europe.
Before retiring he had been a driver for the Alexandria Dairy for over 20 years and prior to that had been a butcher for over 25 years.
He had been a member of the First Baptist Church of Port St. Lucie.
Survivors include a son Barry Peregoy of Port St. Lucie; 4 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren and 1great-great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his wife, of 69 years, Doris V. Peregoy.
SERVICES: Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 PM on June 25, 2009 at the Forest Hills Funeral Homes - Palm City Chapel with a service at 2:00 PM with Pastor Bryan Herrington, Pastor of First Baptist Church of Port St. Lucie officiating.
