Obituary of Michael Deturo
Michael DeTuro, 72, of Palm City, died July 28, 2008 at Martin Memorial Medical Center, Stuart.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, he had been a resident of Palm City for 14 years coming from Kings Park, NY.
He served in the U.S. Air Force.
He was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Palm City, the NRA and the American Model Airplane Association.
Before retiring he was a delivery driver for Entermanns and Stella Doro for over 20 years New York City. He also was the owner/operator of Lucky Lucys, a stationary store on Long Island.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Julia DeTuro of Palm City; a son John DeTuro of Tampa, Florida and Lucy DeTuro of Stuart and 3 grandchildren.
SERVICES: Visitation will be from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 6:00 to 8:00 PM on July 31, 2008 at the Forest Hills Funeral Homes Palm City Chapel with a Vigil Prayer Service at 7:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on August 1, 2008 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park, Palm City.
