Michel Dermarkarian, 96, who lived in Jensen Beach, Florida; finished the last chapter of his life peacefully on Saturday, March 7 ^th , 2020. He was born on May 20 ^th , 1923 in Cairo, Egypt attended French schools in Egypt and majored in Accounting.  On December 11 ^th , 1955, he married the love of his life, Alice Mardirossian. They were married for 64 years and had two children, Robert and Caroline, and two grandchildren, Christopher and Emily.

Michel lived a long life filled with hard-work, dedication to his loving family, happiness, and travel. However, Michel's biggest professional passion was numbers. He was a successful Accountant who started his career in Cairo, Egypt and his work took him to exotic locations like Alexandria, Egypt and Athens, Greece. In 1985, Michel immigrated to the United States to join his family in Randolph, Massachusetts and continued his work as an Accountant. He held his accounting job until 2004, when he retired at the young age of 80. Around that time, he moved to Florida to live closer to his son, daughter-in-law and grandchildren. During his retirement years, Michel spent half the year in Seattle, Washington with his daughter Caroline where he loved tending to her garden, meeting wonderful friends and exploring the Pacific Northwest. The other half of the year he spent it in Jensen Beach, Florida close to his son Robert, daughter-in-law Susan and his grandchildren Christopher and Emily. He loved sharing his adventures and lifetime stories with them; and always looked forward to attending his son's musical performances. Even into his early nineties, Michel was a world traveler, passionate, curious and full of energy…some would call him the Energizer Bunny!

Michel was honored and blessed to have a large, loving, thoughtful family and kind, generous neighbors. He was extremely proud of the successes and the positive contributions his children, grandchildren, and extended family had on society.

He will be remembered for his relentless energy, his dedication to family, his constant smile and his love of Mediterranean food and travel. He is survived by his wife, Alice Dermarkarian, his daughter, Caroline Dermarkarian, his son Robert Dermarkarian (Susan), his grandchildren Christopher Dermarkarian and Emily Dermarkarian, and many extended family members.
