Michele Hardy passed quietly from this world on Christmas morning, December 25, 2025 at her home in Palm City, FL.

She was born in Harvey IL on May 17, 1962 and lived for most of her childhood and adult life in New Jersey. Michele attended West Essex High School in North Caldwell, NJ and graduated with honors from Katherine Gibbs in Montclair, NJ. She worked at several large companies over the next 30 years and retired as the Admin to the CEO of Dunn and Bradstreet in New York City.

Her star shone bright at all events, particularly at the weddings of her two children. She considered her children to be her greatest accomplishment and was so very proud of them.

Michele took up the game of golf several years ago and became quite accomplished with winning her club championship several times and playing on golf courses all over the US and Scotland.

Michele was predeceased by her parents, Mart J. and Renee V. Garner, and her brother Mart Garner, Jr. She is survived by her loving husband David Hardy, her two children Jamie Hardy Casserra (Mark) and Christopher David Hardy (Chance) and her four grandchildren, Vivienne, Eleanor, Francesca, and Price. Additionally, she is survived by her brothers Charles Garner (Deborah), Ralph Garner, Steve Garner
(Jackie), John Garner (Maureen), and her sister Mary Garner Kayhart (Bill), numerous nieces and nephews, and a huge assortment of friends.
Michele will be remembered as a fun-loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and aunt to all in her large family. Her passing has left a void in our hearts that will not soon heal.

A celebration of her life will be held in January 20, 2026 from 3-5 pm at Banyan Creek Golf Club, Palm City, FL

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on March 21, 2026 at 11 am at Notre Dame church  in North Caldwell, New Jersey.Immediately following will be a Celebration of Live at Il Tulipano in Cedar Grove.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to American Cancer Society or ASPCA.
