Obituary of Milton Israel
Milton "Mickey" Israel, 85, of Palm City, Florida, died October 1, 2009 at the Martin Memorial Medical Center, Stuart, Florida.
Born in Passaic, New Jersey, he had lived in Palm City for 20 years coming from Woodbridge, New Jersey.
He had been a pitcher in the St. Louis Cardinals Minor League Baseball System.
During the World War II he served in the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of the American Legion in Passaic.
Prior to retiring he was a sales representative for Flexsteel Industries of Dubuque, Iowa, a furniture manufacturer, for over 25 years.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Martha Israel of Palm City; a son, Michael Israel of Lloyd Harbor, New York; a sister Irma Lewis of Atlanta, Georgia and 3 Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter Ilene Israel.
SERVICES: There will be a graveside service at 2:00 PM on October 2, 2009 at Forest Hills Memorial Park.
