Obituary of Miriam Altvater
Miriam R. Altvater, 85, of Louisburg, North Carolina, died January 6, 2013 at Vidant Medical Center, Greenville, NC.
Born in New York City, she had been a resident of Louisburg for 3 years coming from Centereach, NY, where she lived for 2 years. She was a resident of Port St. Lucie before moving to New York.
Before retiring she had been an accounts payable clerk for Walbaum Supermarkets in New York.
She had been a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Fort Pierce.
Survivors include a son, Richard Altvater and his wife, Susan of Louisburg, NC; daughters, Jane Duda and her husband, Edward of Tampa, FL and Christine Barbieri and her husband, Robert of Nesconset, NY and six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Rev. George Altvater.
SERVICES: Visitation will be from 12:00 to 1:00 PM on January 11, 2013 at the Forest Hills Funeral Homes Palm City Chapel with a service at 1:00PM followed by interment in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Palm City.
