Obituary of Miriam Duffy

Miriam Duffy, 88, of Palm City, died July 26 , 2013 at Treasure Coast Hospice in Stuart. She was born in and lived in Youngstown, OH, until she moved Florida in 1977. 11 years ago moved to Palm City with her sister, Eunice Palmer, who predeceases her. She had been a hospital administrator. She was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church and it's Women's Guild.

She is survived by her daughters, Maureen Starner of Stuart and Mary Jo Alstad, Blaine, Minnesota, her grandchildren Brian and David Vincent, and Carl and Cody Alstad, all of Blaine, Minnesota; nephew, Bill McCardell of Madison, WI; nieces, Maurita O'Connor of Carol Stream, IL, Patricia Mertens of Bethesda, MD, Anne Enk of Plainfield, IL, Rosemary Drozd of Orland Park, IL, and 18 great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joseph Duffy, Jr.brothers, Bill McCardell and Joe McCardell and sisters, Patricia Stoops and Eunice Palmer.

A gathering of friends and family will be held at a later date.
