Dr. Morton J. "Chuck" Sarrett died on March 19,2020 in Staurt FL. He was 84. The cause of death was complications from heart failure, according to his family.

Morton J. Sarrett was born in Brooklyn, New York on March 7,1936 to the late Jacob and Betty Sarrett, brother to Arlene. He graduated from Samuel J. Tiden High School in Brooklyn, New York. He attended St. John's University in New York City and became a Pharmacist. In 1960 he married Aileen"Cookie" Fridkin and they lived in Queens, New York with their three children. In 1968 he moved with his family to Barcelona, Spain where he attended medical school at the Universuty of Barcelona and became a doctor. Chuck and his family enjoyed travel throughout Spain and the surrounding countries during their time there. After eight years of living abroad, he and his family moved to Long Island, New York where he lived until he moved with Cookie to reside in Palm City Florida in 2007.

Chuck was a staff sergeant in the Air National Guard of New York and the Reserve of The United States Air Force. He was a member of the Jewish War Veterans of the United States of America-Post #549 in Stuart, Florida. A congregant of Temple Beit HaYam in Stuart, Florida, he volunteered together with his wife through his involvement with the Caring Committee.

He loved photography, boating, the New York Mets,the New York Giants and a gun enthusiast who enjoyed target practice at the shooting range.

Chuck was kind,caring and generous individual. Those that knew him will always remember in the way he made them laugh with the funny things that he used to say. It gave him great joy to be able to put a smile on the faces of those around him.

He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather & great-grandfather and loved his family and friends immensely. He is survived by his wife Cookie, son Scott, daughter-in-law Mary and grandsons William and Michael, daughter Jodi, son-in-law Michael and grandsons Max, Steven and Jonathan and son Alan, grandsons Niki and Justin, great-grandchildren Tyler, Dillan and Niki, sister Arlene, nephew Glenn, nieces Leslie and Tracy and their families, and many cousins.

Due to the current circumstances, a funeral was held privately on March 23,2020 at Forest Hills Memorial Park in Palm City Florida. A service will be held at Temple Beit HaYam in in Stuart, Florida in the near future.
