Obituary of Muriel Singleton
Muriel E. Singleton, 91, of Stuart Florida and Atascadero, California, died May 24, 2009 in Atascadero.
Born in Brooklyn, New York, and had lived in Amityville, Long Island. She Muriel lived in Port Salerno since the late 1960's.
She graduated from Amityville High School and later attended a secretarial school. She had worked as a legal secretary at "1 Wall Street" in New York and on Clematis Avenue in West Palm Beach, Florida for a approximately 25 years. She had been a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church, Port Salerno.
Survivors include his daughter Diane Whitehouse of Atascadero, CA; stepsons, Bob Singleton, John Singleton both of the Miami area and Bert Singleton in Arizona; a sister Shirley Capshaw and brothers, Michael Erlwein, Norman Erlwein all of New York.
She was preceded in death by her husband Capt. Bert E. Singleton in 1998 and a brother, Bernard Erlwein.
SERVICES: Visitation will be form1:00 to 2:00 PM on May 31, 2009 at the Forest Hills Funeral Home - Palm City Chapel, Florida with a graveside service at 2:00 PM in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Palm City.
