Naeima "Norma" Hanania of Stuart, Florida died peacefully at the age of 87 surrounded by her loving family.

Norma, born in Ramallah, Palestine, emigrated to the United States as a newlywed in 1947. Her story is one of a courageous young woman of only 17 years who left behind her family, friends and way of life to begin her married life in Buffalo, New York. Her contagious smile and sense of humor helped her adjust to her new life and to easily make friends.

She has been a resident of Stuart since 1991 coming from Jacksonville where she had retired in 1978. Norma enjoyed condo living in Stuart where her activities included knitting, taking long walks with friends, water aerobics and just 'hanging out' with friends at the pool. Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with and cooking for her grandchildren and family.

Survivors include her daughter Samia Ferraro and her husband Russell of Stuart, FL; her son Sam Hanania of Stuart, FL; her son Edward Hanania and his wife Tammie of Castle Rock, CO, her daughter Diane Seitz and her husband Paul of Wilmington, NC., her grandchildren R.J. Ferraro (Nina), Josh Ferraro (Gabriella), James Ferraro (Andrea), Rhiannon Hanania, Nick Seitz, Dante Hanania and Mia Hanania, her great grandchildren, Joey, Sarah, Georgie, and Jack Ferraro and her sister, Jalileh Mansur of Livonia, MI.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Butros "Pete" Hanania and eight brothers and sisters.

Visitation will be held at Forest Hills Funeral Home Palm City on Saturday, June 15, 2019 at 11:00am followed by a service at 11:30am.
