Dr. Nancy Jane Farquhar, PhD, 80, of Palm City, Florida, passed away on February 17, 2017 at the Treasure Coast Hospice Hay-Madeira House, Stuart, Florida.
Born in Detroit, Michigan, she had been a resident of Palm City for 20 years coming from Northville, Michigan.
She received her BA, MA, Education Specialist and PhD from the University of Michigan. Prior to retiring she was the South Redford Michigan, District Psychologist and a business owner.
She was a member of the Humane Society and was the past-president of the Quail Meadow Home Owners' Association.
Survivors include her brother James E. Plastow Jr. and his wife Isabell of Ellsworth, Michigan and Palm City; her niece, Bethany Lee Gatto and her husband Michael and their children Coyne and Dominic of Ann Arbor, Michigan; her stepson, Eric Farquhar and his son Ross Farquhar of Livonia, Michigan; her stepdaughter, Susan Farquhar of Pontiac, Michigan and Beth Dillon of Franklin, Michigan. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Farquhar and her nephew, Zachary Plastow.
