Obituary of Nicholas Mariano

Nicholas "Nick" Mariano, Sr, 83, of Jensen Beach, Florida, died on October 2, 2012 at Parkway Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Stuart, Florida.

Born in Bari, Italy, he had been a resident of Jensen Beach for 13 years coming from Clifton, New Jersey.

During World War II he served in the U.S. Army. He was of the Catholic Faith.

Prior to retiring he had been a florist in Flushing, New York and Clifton, New Jersey for many years.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Madeline Mariano of Jensen Beach; daughters, Claire Mariano of Jensen Beach and Janet Mariano-Finizio and her husband John of Port St. Lucie; Sons, Nicholas Mariano Jr.and his wife Jo-Ann of Stuart, Samuel Mariano and his wife Kathy of Pine Brook, New Jersey, Joseph Mariano and his wife Helga of Jensen Beach and Brian Mariano of Jensen Beach; a sister Betty Calefato of Barnegat, New Jersey; a brother Anthony Mariano of Clifton, New Jersey and three grandchildren, Sean, Sam and Nicolette. He was preceded in death by a sister Nancy Natoli and a brother Vito Mariano.

SERVICES: Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM on October 5, 2012 at the Forest Hills Funeral Home - Palm City Chapel with a service at 10:00 AM on October 6, 2012 in the funeral home chapel. Entombment with military honors will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Palm City.
