Obituary of Nile Adderley

Nile Alexander Adderley was born April 25, 1990 at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City. He was a happy baby filled with wonder about his environment and the world. Nile attended the Talented and Gifted School in New York City. In Florida, he attended the Pine School, formerly St. Michaels in Stuart. He went on to Felix A. Williams and Stuart Middle School. Nile was selected for the International Baccalaureate Program at South Fork High School. He moved on to Jensen Beach High School where he participated in the Robotics Program and interned at Florida Power and Light's Nuclear Engineering Division. Nile graduated class of 2008. He was recruited by many of our nation's top colleges including Harvard University. He chose to stay in Florida and attended Florida Institute of Technology (FIT), the MIT of the south, on full scholarship.

Nile is survived by his mother La Verne Fleming-Gittens and her husband Carl Gittens, M.D. Of Palm City, brother Carl Gittens,Jr., grandmother Delight Fleming, aunts Linda, Lewanna, Lana Fleming, Gladys and Crystal Adderley; uncles Lonnie and Lester Fleming, Warren and Konrad Adderley. He will be missed by a host of cousins who hold fond memories of him.

On Monday, September 28, 2015 God called home a treasured son.

Nile is now at peace and we rest knowing that God's plan is greater than our own. We will miss you Nile; your intellect, your smile, your kind heart and gentle spirit.

Visitation will be from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM on Sunday, October 11, 2015 at the Forest Hills Funeral Home, Palm City, FL with a service at 12:30 PM in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Palm City.
