OLIVE V. (WINDUS) HILL

Olive V. Hill, 93 of Stuart, Florida passed away peacefully in her sleep on November 21, 2025, at home with family. Olive was born in Stamford, Connecticut on August 21, 1932, to Molly B. (Kavanagh) Windus and William P. Windus who predeceased her. Olive was the youngest of five children and her siblings, William, John, Gerald, and Patricia predeceased her.

Olive was married to Arthur Hill on May 6, 1951, and they shared 63 years of marriage before he predeceased her. To Olive, family was everything. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

In her final years, nothing brought her greater joy than spending time with her great grandchildren who loved their Gigi. She will be missed by her surviving children, Arthur W. Jr., William H., Patricia O. Galloway (Michael), Donna M. Deakins (David), and Steven T. (Ellyn). She was predeceased by an infant son, Thomas Michael. Olive's single focus and her greatest accomplishment and pride was her dedication to creating a loving family with strong foundational values and an inseverable bond among them.

She will be remembered for her unconditional love by her grandchildren, spouses and great grandchildren: Alicia (Micaela), David, Jr./Jessica (Bryn, Cole), Jason/Meghn (Jayne, Edee), Deanna/Matthew (Dillon), Audrey/Robbie (Evelyn), Melissa/Brandon (Wilder), Tara/Anthony (Aurora, Artemis), Delaney, Dalton/Devyn, and Steven. She will be remembered by step-grands Lorna and Jacqueline/Chris and the children of granddaughter Amanda, who predeceased her (Nathan, Breana, Willow, Kaymeno and Zeus).

Olive has been the matriarch of her family for many years and is survived by many nieces, nephews, grand and great grand nieces and nephews, and extended family members who join the immediate family in their love and loss, especially as she was their last direct connection to their own parents and grandparents.

Olive was fiercely loyal to those she loved, recognized, and celebrated the absolute best in her family. She is irreplaceable, loved beyond measure, and will be greatly missed.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Forest Hills Funeral Home, Palm City.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, December 11, 2025, at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1200 East 10th Street, Stuart, FL 34996, with a reception following immediately at the Port Salerno Civic Center.
