Obituary of Oreste Genao
Oreste Genao, 50, died Sunday, August 26, 2007 at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami.
Born in Dominican Republic, he moved to the Treasure Coast seven years ago from Rhode Island and has resided in Palm City and Port St. Lucie.
He has been medically disabled for five years.
He was of the Roman Catholic faith.
Survivors include his sons, Alex Genao, Damien Genao and Juan Carlos Genao, all of Broward County, FL; mother, Hirginia Ottenwalder of Port St. Lucie; sisters, Iris Fontanals and Ada Ottenwalder, both of Port St. Lucie; Milbia Genao and Angela Genao, both of Dominican Republic; Ramona Genao of Hollywood, FL; Felicita Genao of Rhode Island; and Josefa Mozca of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; brothers, Pedro Genao of Port St. Lucie; Dario Genao of Palm City; Frederico Genao and Roque Genao, both of Rhode Island; and one grandson.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jose Nicanor Genao.
Services: Calling hours will be held from 5 PM to 9 PM, Friday, August 31, 2007 at Forest Hills Funeral Home in Palm City with a Vigil service at 7 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM, Saturday, September 1, 2007 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Palm City. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park.
