IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Paul Connelly
Helser
January 19, 1964 – February 25, 2023
Paul Connolly Helser, Palm City, age 59, entered eternal life on February 26, surrounded by loved ones. He joined his father and mother, George and Betty Helser, and his sister, Susan Helser. Paul was born in Troy, N.Y. and moved to Martin County in his early teens. He graduated from Martin County High School in 1982 and attended The University of Florida in Gainesville where he was proud to be a "Gator." Paul went on to managed his own business in the Palm City area.
"Uncle Paul" or "Mr. Paul" to many, his door was always open. He was happy to share his house, yard, pool, cabana, and equipment with anyone. He would have barbequed brisket with all the fixings ready to share at a moment's notice and snacks for all Josh's friends. At Thanksgiving, his famous fried turkey was ever present. There wasn't much he couldn't cook or repair. Paul, ever the outdoorsman, was always ready for an adventure or to stir up some fun. With his social nature, he was friend to all and happy to lend a hand to anyone. His humor was present in all he did. While he walked his own path, he was eager to help others find and walk theirs, too.
Treasured husband, dad, baby brother, cousin, uncle and friend to all, he left behind his cherished wife and son: Yolonda Edwards Helser and Josh Helser. He enjoyed many a night and travels with Londa's sons: Colton and Weston Landis. He was close to his siblings: Christine Jenssen (Thomas), George Helser (Lynn), Lisa Moosbrugger, and Jeffrey Helser (Tamara). He took great pleasure in his nieces and nephews: Dehlia Helser, Jillian Helser, Graham Helser, Blake Jenssen, Greg Jenssen, Mary Elizabeth Côté-Jenssen, Michelle Moosbrugger, and Adam Moosbrugger. He was close to his special Florida Aunt: Dianne Attey, and his N.Y. Uncle and Aunt: Henry and Eleanor Digeser. Paul also leaves behind many cousins and high school, college, and community friends.
We will celebrate his life at a memorial service at St Bernadette's Church on NW California Street in Port St Lucie at 10 AM, Monday March 13th. All will be welcome to gather after to celebrate and remember Paul.
He'll be waiting for us in heaven ready with his big smile, a joke, and a brisket! We will miss him and will keep him in our hearts and memories, always. Do a random act of kindness in memory of Paul.
