Obituary of Paul Wixon
Paul G. Wixon, 86, died Monday, January 14, 2008 at his residence.
Born in Boston, MA, he has resided on the Treasure Coast since 1976 coming from Dennisport, MA; moving to Hobe Sound in 1992 from Palm City.
He was a retired Warrant Officer with 25 years of military service with the United States Army. After retirement he was a private contractor.
He was a veteran of World War II, the Korean Conflict era and Vietnam War era. He received the American Theatre Service Medal; Asiatic Pacific Theater Service Medal; World War II victory Medal and Philippine Liberation medal.
He was a member of VFW Post 10132 of Hobe Sound; and Past President of AM VETS Post 14 of Hobe Sound; Loyal Order of Moose 1282; BPOE Lodge 1870.
He was of the protestant faith.
Survivors include his daughters, Melanie Tuttle, Sparks, NV; Doris Hoffman of Yerington, NV; Paulette Cobble of Reno, NV; son, Tommy Paul Wixon of Indio, CA; ten grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Audrey J. Wixon and daughter, Elizabeth Wixon.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to AM VETS Post 14, 10450 Southeast Dixie Highway, Hobe Sound, FL 33455.
Services: Interment will be at Forest Hills Memorial Park in Palm City, FL. No services will be held.
Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Hills Funeral Home.
