Obituary of Pedro Dejesus

Pedro DeJesus, 89, of Port St. Lucie died August 8, 2008 at St. Lucie Medical Center, Port St. Lucie.

Born in Ponce, Puerto Rico he had been a resident of Port St. Lucie for 6 years cominf from Ponce. He also had lived for over 20 years in New York City.

Before retiring he was a mail handler for the US Postal service at the general post office in New York City for 20 years.

Survivors include his wife of 48 years Virgenmina DeJesus of Port Srt. Lucie; daughters, Esther Hernandez of Port St. Lucie, Dolores Gotay of New York, New York and Ruth Casillas of Otisville, New York; a son Robert DeJesus of Greensburg, Pennsylvania; Step Daughter Priscilla Rodriquez of Deltona, Florida; step-sons Melvin Soto of Middletown, New York and David Soto of Brooklyn, New York; sisters Maria Perez and Ramona Riviera both of New York, New York and Josephine Mercado of Tampa, Florida; 10 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.

SERVICES: Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM with a funeral service at 12:00 PM on August 11, 2008 at Forest Hills Funeral Homes Palm City Chapel. Interment will follow immediately in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Palm City.
