Percia E. Hines, 88, passed away peacefully on October 2, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones. A resident of Florida for over thirty years, Persia was born in St. Catherine, Jamaica, and later lived in the Cayman Islands for over twelve years before moving to the United States.

As a devoted Christian, Percia's faith in God was the foundation of her life. She expressed her love for Him through service and fervent prayer, providing strength and comfort to everyone she encountered.

In her early years, Percia was a small business owner. She later transitioned into caregiving, a role reflecting her nurturing nature.

Percia dedicated herself to helping others, providing comfort and support to those in need. Her compassion and empathy made a profound difference in the lives of many, and she was known for her ability to make everyone feel valued and cared for.

A passionate cook, Percia had a unique gift for bringing people together around the table. In addition to her culinary talents, Percia enjoyed knitting and sewing, creating beautiful crafts that she often gifted to friends and family. Her creativity brought joy to every aspect of her life, leaving a lasting impact.

Percia is survived by four children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other families, and many others she adopted along the way, all of whom she hopes to carry forward her legacy of love and kindness. She touched the lives of countless individuals, and her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate to know her.

A celebration of Percia's life will be held on November 4, 2024, between 5 – 7 PM at Life Quest Church in Palm City, Florida, where she worshipped for many years.

She will be deeply missed, but her love and spirit will forever remain in our hearts.
