Obituary of Peter Garafano Jr
Peter J. Garafano Jr., 84, of Palm City, passed away on February 27, 2015 at his home.
Born in Paterson, New Jersey, he had been a resident of Palm City for 15 years coming from Totowa, New Jersey.
During the Korean War he served in the U.S. Marine Corps.
Before retiring he was the owner/operator of Garafano Tank Service in Paterson, NJ.
He was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church and the Evergreen Club both in Palm City and the New Jersey Motor Truck Association.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Eleanor Garafano of Palm City; his sons, Peter J. Garafano III of Paterson, NJ and Daniel G. Garafano and his wife Barbara of Lake Hiawatha, NJ; his daughters, Teresa Van Hefter of Fairfield, NJ and Patricia Baiano and her husband Michael of Toms River, NJ; his sisters, Frances Brucato and her husband Joseph of Totowa and Gloria Dykstra of Wayne, NJ; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister Elizabeth Weglary
Memorial Service: 10:00AM, Wednesday at Forest Hills Funeral Home, Palm City Chapel.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Forest Hills Funeral Home, Palm City.
