With heavy hearts, we share the passing of our beloved father, Philip Anthony DiMatteo on January 9, 2022.  Born in Camden, NJ in 1940, Phil was a long-time resident of Port Saint Lucie, Florida.

Phil was best known for his strong sense of family, which is a legacy that will live well beyond his lifetime through those he has left behind.  He was also known for his lively sense of humor and his affinity for all kinds of sweets.  Lovingly referred to as "Pea Pop" by his own grandchildren as well as friends of the family, Phil will be missed by all who loved him.

Phil was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Barbara DiMatteo; his brother, Anthony DiMatteo; his mother, Dorothy DiMatteo; his father, Anthony DiMatteo Sr.; his granddaughter, Madison Demers; and his son in law, Richard Hohendorf. He is survived by his five children, all who live in Port Saint Lucie Florida: Theresa DiMatteo, Brian DiMatteo, Michelle Parolski (Jack), Anthony DiMatteo (Sarah) and Barbie DiMatteo (Mike Demers).  He is also survived by eight grandchildren:  Trey Parolski, AJ DiMatteo, Nicholas DiMatteo, Ella Parolski, Mackenzie Demers, Luc Nguyen, Hieu Nguyen and Tai Nguyen.  He also has several grown nieces and nephews who he loved very much.
