Mrs. Phyllis Marie Stumbo (Marshall) went peacefully to be with the Lord on February 29, 2020 surrounded by her loving family.

Born on May 9, 1935 in Carter county Kentucky she grew up in and around the Portsmouth, Ohio area, graduating from Clay High School. She married the love of her life on July 23, 1955 and they raised 4 children together. Phyllis had a rewarding career that included being a restaurant manager, business owner, and retiring as an administrative and library assistant from the Martin County school system at Warfield Elementary in Indiantown Florida.

They resided several years in Niagara Falls, NY; Bridgeville, DE; Indiantown FL; and Germanton, NC, before retiring to Port St. Lucie, FL. She was an avid collector and crafter of many things including depression glass, baskets, Hummel, dolls, quilts, and Pillsbury Dough Boy collectibles. She loved the hunt and spent many of her Saturdays searching the yard sales for items of interest. She also loved to garden, raising many unique plants and orchids.

She is survived by her husband John L. Stumbo Sr. and 4 children, John Jr. (Barbara), Gwen Marchand (Rick), Pam O'Shea (Dan), and Mike (Kelly). Also surviving are 8 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren and a sister Darlene Martin of Greenwood Delaware. Nieces, nephews and extended family of 2 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren all of whom she loved spending time with as much as possible.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 8pm on Wednesday March 4, 2020 with a service on Thursday March 5, 2020 at 10am at the Forest Hills Funeral Home and Memorial Park in Palm City Florida.
