Obituary of Povindenzia Grasso

Providenzia "Zina" Grasso, 87 of Jensen Beach, FL, passed away on Thursday, December 19, 2013 at the Parkway Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Stuart, FL with her children by her side.

Born in Boston, MA, she had been a resident of Martin County for 25 years coming from Woburn, MA.

Before retiring she was a sterilization specialist at Lawrence Memorial Hospital, Medford, MA. She also had been a confectioner with Doran Chocolate and later with Bordon.

She was of the Catholic Faith.

Survivors include a daughter, Camille Geoghegan of Stuart; sons, Salvatore Grasso and his wife Maria of Jensen Beach, FL, Dominic Grasso of Melrose, MA and Joseph L. Grasso and his wife Diane of Orange, MA; sisters, Betty Fama of Wilmington, MA and Lena Giso of Somerville, MA; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Giuseppe Grasso in 2009 and a brother Salvatore DiModica.

SERVICES: Visitation will be from 8:45 AM to 10:15 AM at Forest Hills Funeral Homes Palm City Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 27, 2013 at St. Andrew Catholic Church, Stuart. Interment will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Palm City.
