Obituary of Priscilla Martin
Priscilla Lapierre Martin, 63, of Port St. Lucie,FL passed away at her residence February 12, 2008 following a courageous 2 year battle with cancer. She had been a resident of the Treasure Coast since 1993. Previous to moving to the Treasure Coast, she enjoyed life with her family in Venice, FL, Franconia and Wolfboro, NH. She was a graduate of St. Marys College in Lewiston, ME where she received her degree in nursing. Priscillas career continued for 41 years in nursing, specializing in elderly care. She was the director of nursing at Waters Edge in Sandhill Cove in Palm City since 1993. She was also active with the Corporate Resource Team, Life Care Services of Des Moines, Iowa.
Priscilla had many interests and hobbies in life, some of which included reading, golf, cooking, travelling, tennis, bike riding, but most of all spending time with her family, especially her granddaughters Cali and Cadence. She was a member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church in Port St. Lucie, and was a very devout catholic.
She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Dennis Martin of Port St. Lucie; sons, David Martin (Corinne) of Charlotte, NC, Dan Martin of Jacksonville; daughter, Monica Campbell (Chris) of Daytona Beach; grandchildren, Cali and Cadence; sister, Constance Mathieu (Ronald) of Sanford, ME; brothers, Ronald Lapierre of Rochester, NH and Robert Lapierre of Sanford, ME.
A gathering will be held 5:00 7:00PM, Friday at Forest Hills Funeral Home, Palm City.
