Rafaela Gonzalez, 95, of Port St. Lucie, passed away July 11, 2019 in Matthews, NC.  She had been a CNA before retirement.  She has been living in Florida for 21 years, having relocated from the Bronx, NY.  She was a devoted member of the Lighthouse Community Church in Port St. Lucie, and she loved to read the bible and attend church.  Rafaela was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother, and all of her family will miss her greatly.

She is survived by her children; Naomi Levoci of Port St. Lucie, Elizabeth Gonzalez of Bronx, NY, Ruth Gonzalez of CA, Israel Gonzalez of GA, Marguerite Flores of NC, Daisy Rodriguez of CA, Minerva Banks of Bronx, NY and David Gonzalez of Mexico; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her children, Moses Gonzalez and Wallace Gonzalez.

Visitation:  10:00 AM - 1:30 PM, Thursday, August 8, 2019 at Forest Hills Funeral Home,  Palm City Chapel

Funeral Service:  1:30 PM following the visitation in the chapel.

Interment to follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Palm City.
