Obituary of Ralph Gerlach
Ralph B. Gerlach, 96, of Jensen Beach, Florida, died on September 2, 2012 at Lawnwood Regional Medical Center, Fort Pierce, Florida.
Born in Greenwich, Connecticut, he had been a resident of Jensen Beach for 30 years coming from Port Chester, New York.
During the World War II he served in the U.S. Army and was a member of the Army Band in Hawaii, playing tuba.
Prior to retiring he had worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 30 years in New York City. He was a member of the VFW and the American Legion Posts in Jensen Beach.
Survivors include his daughters, Barbara Meeks of Jensen Beach, Linda Newby of Danbury, Connecticut, Deb Gerlach of Rehoboth, Delaware and Meg Goodrich of Fishkill, New York; five grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister Wilma Gerlach and a brother Russell Gerlach
SERVICES: Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Forest Hills Funeral Home - Palm City Chapel with a service at 12:00 PM. Interment will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Palm City.
