Obituary of Ralph Haefele
Ralph Sheldon Haefele, 89, of Stuart, Florida, died September 8, 2008 at Parkway Health and Rehabilitative Care Center, Stuart.
Born in New York, NY he had been a resident of Stuart for 17 years coming from Coral Gables, FL.
He served in the US Navy during WWII, retiring with the rank of Lieutenant Commander.
Before retirement he was an independent insurance agent in Coral Gables for over 30
He was a member or Stuart Congregational Church, Stuart and former longtime member of Coral Gables Congregational Church. He was a member of the Kiwanis Club, the Moose and the Miles Grand Country Club.
Survivors include his wife Dorothy Haefele of Stuart; a son Alan L. Haefele of Brentwood, TN; daughters Barbara J. Santek of Memphis, TN and Nancy J. Gress of Havana, FL; 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
There will a private family service at a later date.
For those who wish, contributions may be made to Stuart Congregational Church Building Fund, 3110 SE Astor Lane, Stuart, FL 34994, in Mr. Haefeles memory.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Forest Hills Funeral Homes Palm City Chapel.
