Obituary of Ramon Velez
Ramon Velez, 75, of Port St. Lucie, died May 5, 2010 at his residence. He was born in Puerto Rico. He moved to the United States in 1949, and had been a resident of Port St. Lucie for 9 years, having moved from Waterbury, CT where he had lived for 32 years. He was a warehouse clerk for Highland Manufacturing in Waterbury, CT, before retirement. He was a Jehovah's Witness, and had been an elder for 43 years.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Elba M. Velez of Port St. Lucie; son, Ramon O. Velez of Waterbury, CT; daughter, Maritza Alva of Port St. Lucie and 2 grandchildren.
Visitation: 6-8:00PM, Friday, May 14, 2010, and 1-2:00:PM, Saturday, May 15, 2010, at Forest Hills Funeral Home in Palm City.
Service: 11:00AM, Saturday, May 15, 2010 at the Kingdom Hall, 1460 NW Britt Road, Stuart, FL.
Interment will be 2:00PM, Saturday, May 15, 2010 in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Palm City.
